Waiting for Mr. Right ๐Ÿ’

She sat expectantly outside his office, in the waiting area, not knowing what to expect. "Just a moment Ms., Mr. Right will be with you shortly", called out the secretary๐Ÿ“ข. "No problem", she replied. But, "Yes problem", was her internal disposition. How much longer was she gonna have to sit there, waiting for this man to finally step out of his office and call her in for the much anticipated appointment. She had already began to grow restless. "Sorry ma'am, I know you just said he will be with me shortly, but can you give me a time estimate?.... I mean how long is shortly?... Sorry, it's just that my butt is starting to hurt for sitting so long", she confides in the secretary whose happy go lucky attitude was a bit irritating at this point. "Maybe you can stand a bit. Sometimes, standing does the body Good", suggested the secretary gently with a smile. That does it! ...Well, that almost does it. It took all her might not to lash out in frustration... ๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿ’จ"But if this old lady offer one more ridiculous suggestion, with that annoying smile on her face, I'ma explode!"๐Ÿ’ฃ, She resolves in her mind as she heads back towards her seat. Just then, the office door opens and steps out... "Wait! it's you?!!!! You are Mr. Right?!!!" ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ง๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿค•๐Ÿค’๐Ÿ˜ญ

He was her good buddy from the friend zone, and was getting ready to move to the Brother zone.๐Ÿค“๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ‘Š"Are you kidding me? This long wait for this?". Yes, she said that out loud! But wait a moment, what went wrong? Did Mr. Right open the door prematurely? There were countless tales of Mr. Right's glorious unveiling. So where was the BOOM!! bang!!!๐Ÿ’ฅ Shebang!!! Jazz orchestra!!!... ๐ŸŽผ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽท๐ŸŽปSomething was awfully wrong. But the secretary didn't appear perplexed at all, it seemed as though she had seen this scenario play out many times before. The young lady was about to unleash another remark of utter disapproval when it happened. Suddenly, there flashes of their history together, moments of laughter, joy and tears before her eyes.... ๐Ÿ˜ต They had traveled life's journey together and had been part of each other's precious moments without pretense or deceitful motives. She hadn't drawn those deductions from their friendship until now. And when she came out of the trance, she saw him again. He was out of the friend (only) zone. ๐Ÿกโ›ช He was Right. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒน

So I too have been asked the infamous young adult question, "is there a right other for everyone out there?". Sought of like, a predestined spouse ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. I will have to save that debate for another blog.

But I would say with surety, that two matured enough people, willing to surrender to the order of LOVE, can make it work, make it beautiful and make it gold. Also, I am sure of this, "there's no substitute for true friendship in a marital relationship." So marry your best friend, or work at helping your spouse become your best friend. God bless.โœŒ๐Ÿฝ
